
The thrilling wildebeest migration takes place across the plains of the Mara (Maasai mara is one of the most popular game reserves in the world) between June and October but this is totally dependant on the weather conditions. Other animals in the Mara include lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, hyenas and many small game. . The vast terrain and thick forests were ideal for taking cover and are now ideal hideouts for the wild game.
